you're going to have the best 10 gibabit speed in france
Used mainly with a MacBook Pro, this 10GbE SFP+ network card lets me connect to the rest of my 10Gb/s LAN comfortably.
It heats up a bit but is perfectly silent.
A speedtest on one of my 10Gb/s servers gave me 9800Mb/s down and 8600Mb/s up from the MacBook Pro.
Recognised by macOS directly without the use of third-party drivers/kexts (plug and play).
Works perfectly with a MacBook Pro 14. Very good throughput and no reduction in throughput, even when it heats up a little, after several hours of use.
When used with Proxmox the adapter works perfectly with the drivers included in the Linux kernel. The speed seems to be good.
The SFP+ version has no fan and does not heat up.
For proper operation, the "thunderbolt usb" and "thunderbolt bootable device" options must be enabled in the bios (CM MSI).
In addition to the 10GbE performance, I really appreciate the quietness of this thunderbolt3 adapter.
Moreover, it is compatible with the latest MacBook Pro M1 Max without any driver installation.
Also tested with a Dell Precision 7760 under Windows 11 and Ubuntu 20.04 (driver installation required on these OS) and everything works perfectly.
