Each time we visited LDLC, we had 3 different people to talk to, all of whom had the same qualities, namely good explanations, great knowledge of their products, and all of whom gave us a very warm welcome.

After having had problems with a cheaper model, the Akasa HDMI / VGA adapter (it worked but I always had to unplug the adapter's VGA plug after each computer shutdown, so I didn't need to unplug it if I had to restart my computer), I don't recommend the Akasa brand,
So I tried the Nedis brand as a replacement, and I recommend it,
This Nedis adapter works very well and is good value for money, I no longer need to unplug the VGA plug every time I stop.
The VGA female/HDMI male adapter was delivered and removed from the protective packaging without tools.
The connection was made in one minute between a DVI/VGA male cable (connected to the DVI port of an Acer 23" monitor) and the HDMI female port of a laptop (LDLC Aurore NL5-8-S4). The mechanical stability of the VGA male/VGa female connection is such that the available screw connection on the VGA male side is not needed on a daily basis.
The display on the monitor was instantly expanded. The display resolution could be adjusted manually (via the ad hoc management menu of the underlying system, here Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS).
This means that operations can continue smoothly in a professional production environment.
