    Can work, but not all the time

    The product seems to work at first, but over time it is very temperamental.
    It was a gift for my wife who telecommutes. But she left it out as it took her 15 minutes every morning to plug in/out the adapter to get it to work properly with the right resolutions. It wasn't a driver issue as it was updated to the latest versions. The PC said that the device was not USB3, which was obviously wrong.
    I took it on my laptop and after a few days without any problems, it started to make flash cuts of the screen and then to have the same behaviour as with my wife's PC.
    I also have a similar adapter from StarTech.com with which I have not had these problems at all.
