Reliability and AOC after-sales service not up to scratch
The quality of the screen is decent, generally average. We would have preferred a DVI input instead of the 2 HDMI inputs, but never mind.
In fact the main problem comes from the reliability of this model which is clearly a problem. After a year, you end up with a screen that is unusable: a screen that is immaculately white as soon as you plug it into a power outlet (regardless of whether you plug it into your PC or not).
Then, the after-sales service tells you that this problem is known and that it is "normal" (sic). Indeed, on the forums, you see that you are not the only "unlucky" one.
In any case, you are promised an exchange, so you tell yourself that it will be fine. Note that "it's important to call them back if after a month you haven't heard from them."
Summary: problem occurred at the beginning of February, we are in June. I have called them back 3 times and of course I had to buy a new screen in the meantime. At the time of writing, the exchange is still not effective.
Conclusion: the probability that you will be forced to buy a second screen after acquiring the G2790PX is not negligible. Do your maths ;)
