Perfect
It is exactly as I had planned for my 81 year old mother!!! Very nice definition, bright, large and easy to install.
16:9 Full HD screen for maximum viewing comfortThis Full HD screen offers a high definition widescreen resolution of 1920 x 1080p. This is the highest resolution supported by HD sources, ensuring the highest quality images. Thanks to its scalable technology, this display supports 1080p signals from any source, including Blu-ray and other advanced HD game consoles. The signal processing is optimised to accept and process very high signal quality and resolution. You'll enjoy ultra-sharp, flicker-free images with perfect brightness and colour. |
Outstanding performanceThis Philips display is equipped with an advanced IPS panel that optimises colour reproduction, response time and power consumption. Unlike standard TN panels, IPS panels display consistent colours even at a wide angle of 178 degrees and in Pivot mode. Due to its outstanding performance, IPS technology is particularly suitable for applications requiring colour accuracy and consistent brightness, such as editing software, graphics applications and web browsers. |
Take care of your eyesDue to the method used to control brightness on backlit LED displays, some users experience flicker that increases eye strain. Philips' flicker-free technology uses a new solution that adjusts brightness and reduces flicker for better viewing comfort. |
SmartContrast for incredibly deep black detailSmartContrast is a Philips technology that analyses the content you are viewing, automatically adjusting the colours and controlling the intensity of the backlight to improve contrast. This results in better quality digital images and videos and a better enjoyment of darker video games. In Economy Mode, contrast and backlighting are adjusted for optimal viewing of common desktop applications with minimal power consumption. |

It is exactly as I had planned for my 81 year old mother!!! Very nice definition, bright, large and easy to install.
The screen is nice and light on this side no problem but there are 2 concerns:
- I found a VGA cable, it's a shame to put an analogue cable on a full HD screen.
I have looked at the screen page and there is no warning that there will be a VGA cable with the screen.
- I have one of my two HDMI cables not working well I guess it's the version of my cable but I don't know if it's lower or higher than what the display can handle in HDMI. No details on the description either.
Having had this screen for a good month now, I can say that it fully meets my expectations.
It has good characteristics. No dead pixels on arrival. No difficulties with the menu.
It's a very good screen for its price range.
Quite stable. High brightness. Good contrast. Low power consumption.
The sound is however far from excellent, but it is a screen and not a speaker ...
I recommend it!
I have been using it for two months now, the image is perfect, the contrast is very good and the colours are striking.
The stand is wide and therefore quite stable but lacks a bit of rigidity due to the plastic. A metal stand would have given it 5 stars.
Being used to the 4:3 format, I was dreading the switch to 16:9.
For a question of space (width of 16:9) I chose this screen with its very thin edges.
Connected via HDMI to the graphics card of my Inspiron 3668, the video and sound are very good.
The brightness is "kolossal" and I set it to the minimum (5/100).
The manoeuvring of the adjustment buttons at the bottom right is not very practical but you only use them once.
No height adjustment, just tilt. For these reasons one * less
