Excellent screen with beautiful finish. Stable metal yoke, good quality shell, richly equipped connectivity. The colours are superb after adjusting the gamma. No flickering, extremely responsive. (144 to 165 Htz) . In short, a superb screen for games.
No dead pixels. No light leaks. USB3 port on the bottom to connect keyboard and mouse. A charging port with the screen turned off. What more could you ask for. 144hz headphone support, overclockable to 165 if you have the game or computer for it. No vision problems with the TN panel being in front of the screen like many I think. Excellent height and pivot adjustments. Breathes quality. Headphone jack without any noise, the screen not receiving directly 240V but 20V on a remote transformer. This is good for playing :)
Very good gamer screen with exceptional fluidity.
The default colours are pretty good, I just set the brightness to 50% and the temperature to normal instead of warm. I don't have a sensor, but this seems to be the right setting. The viewing angles are good for TN, much better than my old TN.
Be careful, it's 1440p 144/165 Hz, to enjoy it you need 1070 IT minimum, or you'll have to start making visible concessions on details. With the right hardware behind it, it's really appreciable.
The bonus that made me choose this screen: the USB hub, but especially the very practical headphone holder.
The 2 flaws:
- 0.5 star less for the black level. This is a recurrent defect of the TN, but at this price you can expect better. I think it's less black than my old screen, however without any light leakage whereas on my old one the whole bottom band was slightly leaking.
- 1 star to remove for the overdone anti-reflective coating. This gives a sort of granularity to the surface of the screen that turns into a film-like grain on light, solid colours. Most of the time unnoticeable in gaming, but very visible in office use (word/excel/window white backgrounds ...)
The switch to 2560x1440 resolution is a pure joy!
I just notice a small problem with the G-sync, small loss of fluidity on the screen compared to the vertical sync directly via the graphics card!
But otherwise only happiness! to see in time!
I am very pleased with this screen, and also very pleased with the service provided by LDLC. The order was processed and delivered on time, and the quality of the product was impeccable. I would recommend this purchase without hesitation.
There are about 15 dead pixels on the centre right side of the screen, with a majority in the centre right top.
the sound is very bad, get a headset or earphones, it's already much better.
Otherwise, the screen is beautiful, it's big, it's wide, in 1440p 144Hz, games are very smooth (i7-6700k,gtx1080)
The buttons are not visible, they are under the screen, well it's complicated to use at first but once all the settings are done, you won't have to manipulate the buttons anymore.
I have asked for a replacement, if not I will ask for a refund, I will update this review once I hear from AOC after sales.
Some huge latencies when changing resolution for 3-5 seconds then everything returns to normal.
I didn't see but it does include NVIDIA 3D in games, which is a surprise as I don't see it mentioned anywhere (or is it now so common that it's not mentioned?)
It's worth noting that this is a first fixed PC screen for me.
For 568 Euros in total (including VAT) I would have liked a quality screen, knowing that only the screen is worth 559.95 Euros.
So, at your own risk if you take this screen :)
I'm not encouraging you not to buy this screen, just letting you know that others have had the same experience so I'm adding my opinion to theirs. I give it a 2.5/5 but if it wasn't for the dead pixels, I would have given it a 4.5/5 (given that the sound is not good, not good)
Very good screen, nice settings, a Gsync that works pretty well, and especially the 1440p that smoothes the image well compared to a 1080p!
I've noticed that I have a growing spot in the centre of my screen, it looks like a weird clouding, if it gets worse I'll send it back to the shop!
Otherwise very good screen for gaming, I recommend!
I am rarely so satisfied with a purchase, especially when I pay so much for it, but this time it exceeded my expectations!
The bundle is well supplied, the assembly quick and easy
The stand and the slab are beautiful, the finish is impeccable. The combination of red and black (now used by many manufacturers) seduced me.
The 16/9 format in 24 inches with such a resolution allows a very high concentration of pixels, and the rendering in games is simply impressive... Combined with a frequency of 144 or 165hz, it's the perfect cocktail, which motivated me to change my entire gamer configuration to be able to keep an adequate FPS level. But all the games I could test with my 780ti were rediscovered with this screen!
I ordered this screen after buying a new pc, mainly for gaming and I'm not disappointed! good finish, the product inspires solidity.
I'm very pleased with the quality of the screen and the quality of the finish, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the screen.
The 1440p even in 24 inches "only" is appreciable.
I'm sure you'll find it hard to find a similar performance for less money at the moment.
I'm not sure if it's a good one or a bad one, but I'm sure it's a good one.
