Excellent product and order arrived quickly. LDLC is a serious supplier.
No disappointment since I've been ordering from them
perfect service. easy installation. quiet. assembled and disassembled after changing the box (corsair all windows). perfect
Excellent product, very quiet. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product and the service provided by LDLC.
Perfectly silent and comes with a SATA adapter.
There are also pseudo-silicone tips to replace the screws, but even with standard screws in the case, I don't have any vibrations that can be heard.
Very good quality product. I was very pleased with the silence of the product when it was rotating. I'm a bit surprised by the way it's fixed, I'm used to screws but this system is quick to put in place, to be seen in use, assembly and disassembly for cleaning. Speed and seriousness of the LDLC delivery.
A good fan, but far from silent; I wonder how they got 16.4dB of measurement at full speed... I measured 33dB at 50cm (yes, I have a sound level meter, and yes, I made measurements in a (very) quiet environment: background noise out of scale of the sound level meter, i.e. too low to be measured)... They must have done their measurement at 2 meters or more, and not in the axis!
Note that the noise does not come from the engine or the "fluid bearing", but from the air turbulence caused by the blades.
So I use it only at half speed, so I don't hear it... The volume of air displaced is consequently no better than the one of the fan it replaces in my case (an Antec fan, which I used at mini speed).
In short, the gain is almost null compared to the original fan, and 25 euros is not cheap for a very average service.
Otherwise, the vibration isolation device is well designed. But the power adapter is designed for SATA power sockets instead of the traditional MOLEX ones and as all disks/SSDs are now equipped with SATA sockets, only MOLEX sockets were left free in my configuration: too bad... Fortunately I had a free fan connector on my motherboard (and the BIOS allows to adjust the voltage on this socket)!
In short, it's not glorious and it doesn't deserve more than the average !
