This cable is used between a Home-cinema + games PC under the TV and an Asus monitor on a desk to allow the PC to be used "remotely" when the TV is displaying a console. The CG is an MSI 7790. Compared to the old connection via a VGA cable, the CG and Windows 10 enjoy it much more, I no longer have the problem where the Asus screen stayed black at the first boot. And the sharpness has nothing to do with it, it's much better. The icing on the cake is that I was also able to remove a jack cable to bring the sound to the Asus screen, the Displayport takes care of that.
For the record, I still have a 5m USB cable on the desktop monitor (also bought from Ldlc) and a Logitech wireless keyboard + mouse set, and everything works as if the PC was right next to it.
