This memory reader offers a plethora of sockets, memory card slots, etc.
The CF card slot is extremely fragile.
Installed on a brand new configuration, I spent 3 weeks to understand why my PC was at fault (EZ-debug VGA bug and 10mn cold boot time! ). Everything pointed to a motherboard or CPU problem. So I changed CM, to discover that finally the problem was caused by 2 pins of the CF reader which were bent, and thus in contact!
Problem probably caused by the first use of the CF reader, where the memory card is absolutely not guided correctly, so very easy to bend the pins ... which is what happened.
Clear on USB and other memory slots ...
So I don't recommend it!
I'm very pleased with the quality of the product. I had a big doubt because the power supply seemed to be made by a 4pin female molex connector but at the output of my power supply I had only female molex cables. A small mail to LDLC support and my problem was solved: the female connector of the Icy box is also a male connector on the other side... However, beware: this box requires 2 9pin USB2 connectors or on my ASROCK Z390 Steel legend motherboard I only had a 9pin connector and another 4 pins. So some inputs are disabled but I still have 1 USB3, 3 USB2, the USB charger and the SD and CF drives that work. For sure, 1 USB2 doesn't work. I didn't have the opportunity to test the other drives or the SATA output.
Correct,
Does the job correctly.
Provide enough sockets on the motherboard or an internal switch (usb 3, sata, usb 2...)
Nice finish, I withdraw one star for the absence of a 2nd USB 3 port.
I refer to the article
The SATA does not work
The card reader does not work either
The charging socket does not work either
The green LED does not light up
only USB 2.0 works
Anyway, what more can I say to reach 200 characters?
