I wanted a tripod that was easy to carry, plus the setup is very simple and allows you to quickly orient the camera. The product seems solid. I was very pleased with the quality of the product and the price. I'm very pleased with the quality of the product.
After a small hama at 9.99 which disappointed me a lot, I tripled the stake and I really don't regret it. The design is smart and the construction is very good.
First of all, a moderate tightening is enough to immobilize the ball joint whatever its position.
Secondly, the camera can be tilted almost 45° in all directions without the need for the "portrait" notch, which makes it easy to work on rough and/or sloping terrain.
There are two small problems with this almost idyllic picture:
- The head part unscrews a little too easily from the tripod for my taste. Not intending to separate them I blocked the whole thing with two drops of loctite.
- The "rubber" ends of the legs are so soft that the whole thing floats when held manually (which is mandatory when leaning on a vertical wall, for example). It was a pity because the rest is very rigid, so I tore off the tips (they are very well glued). The result: a small aesthetic loss, but a perfect immobilisation.
Note that I use it in "all terrain", but for a compact camera, not an SLR with a long lens, either...
Good quality product, light, solid and easy to use. A one screw adjustment ball joint, which facilitates the orientation of the case. Unlike other users, the blue writing is still present, despite the rubbing in my bag.
