Did its job well until one of the 2 plastic connectors inside the metal shell came loose!
This was after 3 disconnections/reconnections for wanting to check a false contact of the cables, it was coming from the connector... I managed to force it back on and it's holding... for now.
I'd rather switch to the "all plastic" connector next time, with a lifetime warranty!

The item is better made than I expected for a no-name product.
I had installed a 15 meter cable in a wall, glued and painted... and after moving some furniture the cable is way too short!
This coupler is a blessing.
At last a quality coupler after having gone through plastic shell couplers where the play in the plugs caused line breaks.
And contrary to a previous opinion it can be used permanently because the quality of the connectors is sufficient and the cover is shielded. Afterwards, if you are paranoid, you can secure the connected sockets with thermo-sleeve or something else...
