In order to be able to use my ADM Ryzen 5 9600X processor and have DDR5, I opted for this motherboard from MSI. It works well, there are regular BIOS patches supplied by MSI.
I've never been disappointed by the brand and I'm happy with this new motherboard.
A motherboard that can be adapted to a number of configurations, with 4 M2 ports and a very fine finish.
I wanted to put in several M.2 - PCI-E 4, because I've got a taste for speed and I wanted something that could evolve without needing to buy everything again. I hesitated with the "MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI" but I opted for this card because it had the same characteristics for a lower cost despite not having a digital S/PDIF Optical connection.
The 5-star rating is deserved because everything works very well, all the hardware installs very well, no need to fiddle with the bios. Hardware used: AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Wraith Prism (3.8 GHz / 5.3 GHz), Kingston FURY Beast 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR5 5200 MHz CL36 for new features.... MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti VENTUS 3X 16G OC, 2 Samsung SSD 990 PRO M.2 PCIe4, 1 SSD 980 M.2 PCIe3.....
I'm giving my choice 3 stars because I think this motherboard is made for people who use headphones as their only source of sound. As someone who uses a Z906 5.1 surround speaker system, I don't get the same quality of sound as on my old "MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI", which offered the installation of "Nahimic" from SteelSeries, a software that boosted the sound and offered an equaliser. The "MSI X670E GAMING PLUS" offers instead the installation of "SteelSeries GG", useful software when you have SteelSeries headphones.
I don't regret this choice because there's always a solution, the 40E I saved, I was thinking of buying an M2 pcie-5, well I'd take a sound card and I'd have the best sound in the world of my life....
A bit complex to install in Windows, you have to search online, but once you've found the solution to install everything, this motherboard is great, because once you're on the desktop, everything installs automatically on its own, and the wifi is already working.
