        Excellent map

My choice fell on this very powerful card, which is surprisingly quiet, if not inaudible: 40°C / 0 RPM in normal use and max ~50/55°C / 1.1k+ RPM under load, which makes the sound of breathing quite acceptable). No coil whine for me (could be impacted by a bad power supply and OC).

        In a Config configuration:
        - Fractal medium-tower design case, very well ventilated with Noctua
        - Dark Power 13 1000W. (dedicated PCie 5.0 600W connector).
        - AMD 7950X3D
        - Crucial T700 SSD
        - DDR5 64GB

        Coming from a configuration with RTX3070 /AMD 5600X, it's obviously night and day (5120x1440 / ULTRA everywhere).
The card is very expensive but I'm really happy with it for my 90% professional use (3D/gaming),

        Perfect

Purchased almost as soon as it was released, it has since been used to full capacity as a replacement for an RTX 3080 installed in a secondary PC.

In games, the gain is colossal, from simple to double, there are practically no more questions to ask when launching a game. With its VRAM, you can even play in 8K even if the acceptable performances are rather in 6K (very useful for some rare games with average textures). You can even set an aggressive power limit without losing anything.
The card is silent and hardly heats up, which is a change from my 3080 Ventus which at one time reached 80 degrees (here we are more in the 50-60 range). This Gainward model also has a very pleasant look. Be careful, this is a 3x8pin version limited to 450W unlike the FE for example. This is not a very important point for me but it is better to know it.
Finally, when used in machine learning and editing, the performances are also there.

In short, a very expensive card but one that is fully satisfying, frustrating on any use. This particular model is also very good if you hide the plastic support to avoid sagging which is of very poor quality and which has broken over the mounting of new gear (I ordered another metal one for not much, they could have made an effort).

Bulky but powerful and quiet card

After a careful and ultra-fast delivery, the beast is here and yes the card is very big and just fits: length, width but also the cables of the 12VHPWR power connector on top (in my HTPC Origen S16V case, or on the side in a classic tower case) force to have a considerable gap between the wall and the card. So I had to cut my aluminium wall to avoid bending or crushing the cable, which is strongly discouraged for this new type of connector. In operation, nothing to say, surprisingly quiet and above all ultra-controlled temperatures, the cooling solution provided for 3090s is here almost oversized. No overclocking on my side (rather useless considering the power) but to note that Gainward does not propose the best PCB and power supply stages, it is correct without more. An MSI suprimX for example is better in this respect, but also more expensive.

        Happy with my purchase

I am very pleased with my purchase and after driving 11000 km to the island of Reunion, my graphics card has arrived and is working perfectly well, thank you to all the ldlc team.

Very happy with the potato & silence for 3D games & apps

Player (in French in the text)
Fan of 2 or 4 wheel racing, I can now display all the video details, my PC breathes and runs (Intel i5 13600K Win 10 config in 2560x1440 ).
In all the games (DLSS3 when possible), everything becomes super beautiful, details to the max. and fluidity, I am very happy.
"I'm not sure if it's a good one or not, but I'm sure it's a good one.
ah yes a criticism! I'm not sure how much it costs, but LDLC has done a great job with it, THANK YOU!

        Great card, no fuss

The card is installed in a Bequiet 500DX and is creamy.

It doesn't heat up, isn't noisy, stays ultra cool in gaming, or bench, nothing to say.
You can undervolt it without worries with a power limit at 70% and put + 200mhz on the core and 800 on the memory.
You will gain in consumption without loss of performance.

It's a great pleasure to come back to this CG brand, my last one was a gtx 570 phantom.

        Nothing to complain about!

Quiet and well cooled. Only 62°C under full load (3D Mark Time Spy Extreme). Nice for an entry-level card. It does the job without fuss...

        A nice surprise!

Having taken advantage of a 10% promotion, making this card available at the price of a custom 4080, I have read a lot of negative reviews about this card. I think I got lucky, the gpu heats up much less than my old rtx3080.
The performance is just great, tested on several games, the card is quiet and performs well.
A very good surprise for me.

        Evolution and performance

Nvidia has struck hard once again and proves their technological lead. The leap with the previous generation is important (+70 to +80% in 4k). It is now possible to play in 4k ultra 120 fps with raytracing. A last generation i7/i9 CPU with +10 cores and +5ghz is recommended to avoid bottleneck. Gainward has made a very good product again. The only complaints are that the support bracket is not ergonomic and the card is a bit of a coil whine. As for the 3-pin connector, use the manufacturer's cables (for me, a corsair 600w 2*8 pin cable that works perfectly and simplifies the management cable).

        A super-powerful GPU

The GPU delivers incredible performance for both professional and gaming applications in 4k. It comes with a 12VHPWR 3x8 pin PCIe cable limiting the TGP to 450W, which simply limits OC's capabilities as is but has little/no impact on stock performance between different 4090 models.

This GPU model is very efficient in terms of cooling (fans a bit more audible than on higher end models though), but also in terms of power consumption: comparing an RTX 3080 to this 4090, with the same performance, you can see up to 100W less for the 4090.

Finally, the DLSS 3.0 Frame-Generation (which will be accessible in the options of compatible games only after activating the "hardware accelerated graphics processor schedule" in your system settings) is an interesting technology but still has a few artefacts. Only use it if you already have a high framerate.

IMPORTANT POINT: please note that you will have significant performance limitations, even in 4k with "high-end" processors that are still recent (I9 11th generation limits the GPU in 4K). You will therefore need a latest generation system if you wish to exploit the full power of this GPU.

        Gainward RTX 4090 Phantom

        Here it works fine,no complains.
But i use it with a i9 12900kf and not with some cpu that is old.
        I'm really satisfied with it.
The only complain is that new power cable, why the hell nvidia???
I almost had to buy a new case for it,have a lian li o11 dynamic.
Luckily it fitted, but just had enough room.

        Strange

I have had this card for 3 weeks and I am somewhat disappointed.

The advertised performance is not really there.

Is it due to the connector that "only" requires 3*8pins unlike competitors who offer 4*8pins.

Or is it because of my aging configuration:
        I7 6800k
        Asus Strix X99 gaming
        Corsair 32GB DDR4 3400mhz cl10
        Enermax platimax 1500 watts.

        I can't use the Dlss 3 on cyberpunk 2077, like it's not a real RTX 4090.

I'm currently changing my config hoping it will make a difference.

If it doesn't I'll send it back for a refund or exchange for another brand of RTX 4090, even if it's a bit more expensive...
