Superb picture but limited sound (normal).

I'm reposting a review after a first return.
The first model did indeed have a synchronisation problem. Replaced by LDLC.
        After 3 weeks of use:
        - Superb HDR image.
        - Minimal response time (remember to set your system to 120Hz).

One downside to the sound. The speakers aren't very powerful but, above all, the different frequency ranges are too mixed up, which makes for a cluttered sound. I'd like to make this clear, but I'm well aware that a computer screen doesn't give priority to sound quality.

To watch my Blu-rays, I'll eventually buy a sound bar, as on the PC, my 2001 Logitec 5.1 speakers still work perfectly.

        Absolutely brilliant

4K, HDR automatically recognised, fairly large screen but it does the job, a pleasure to play on. The only downside was that the display port cable supplied was either has, or not HDR compatible, so I changed it for a display port 1.4 and all was well. In the photo, it's a 27" next to it ;) Superb picture quality, really pleased with my purchase.

        Total immersion

Ordered on 26/12 and delivered on 29/12, screen for exclusive use with Flight Simulator. I was a bit worried about the size because of the possibility of eyestrain, but it's nothing of the sort. The reproduction quality is very good and the glossy slab is not at all annoying. Well done to the team in Rennes who advised and sold me this equipment.

        Screen out of order

On 17/09/2023 my screen broke down (this can happen and no one is safe from a breakdown) I called the after sales service
With the thought that it will take a plombe as dear other manufacturers (I am installer of screen in window (dynamic display) and by that I had to make quite a lot of return SAV in 25 years of taf)
and the I send invoice (LDLC) and photo of the failure I received no automatic mail from the manufacturer, nothing nothing
Tuesday 3 days after SAV IIYAMA call me to deliver my new screen Friday 22/09/2023. 5 days
perso je n'est jamais vu un SAV aussi performant et en plus il se sont excusé car il on du retard dans le traitement du SAV, je suis habitué a commandé des écrans LG et SAV LG il n'on jamais et aussi performant
I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the product.
PS: the deliverer comes with a new screen and therefore prepared in advance the screen that you have to return because it will be put back in the box it asks in general, the screen and the foot of the screen soyer fast because you risk to put the deliverer in delay of his deliveries.
voila j'ai dans l'espoir que mon commentaire auras vous aiderz, Rémi, les oriels, Dreux

        A beautiful beast

Let's face it, a screen the size of a TV takes up space on your desk, but it's still pretty comfortable to view.
The supplied headphone holder is pretty handy, even though I use a separate holder (Corsair ST100).
Performance-wise, there's nothing to complain about: the 144Hz display is very comfortable. You just have to be careful to deactivate Freesync, otherwise the screen stays stuck at 120Hz.
It offers quite a few possibilities with its two DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs. Apart from the missing TV tuner, it's a great replacement for a standard TV (if you only use the video inputs, of course).
The only downside is the speakers. Although it's a plus to have speakers on your screen, I have to say that they don't offer the best audio quality. They're good enough for light audio, but if you want better quality, headphones or more powerful speakers will be required.

I haven't had a chance to test the remote yet (as it's not working) but it seems to offer the same functions as the buttons on the screen, so it's an added convenience, but not essential.

I'd still recommend this screen, though, because even though it's big, it works well for me. And it's quite affordable.

        At the top

Great value for money for a screen of this size in 4k with a high refresh rate.

        The Gamer Screen

This is the model I've been waiting for years to replace my current 43" Philips 60Hz. On paper this iiyama ticks all the right boxes, VA, 144Hz, Freesync Premium, 4K, all at a great price.

My configuration is Ryzen 9 3900x, RX6700XT, 32GB DDR3600Mhz. The screen is connected to DisplayPort and the display is in 10bits RGB444 full range from the first boot.

By default, the screen has overdrive disabled and is adjustable to 5 levels. Playing without overdrive is not recommended because of the visible ghosting. It is also not possible to play with the overdrive set to 5 because of the overshoot (reverse ghosting). With the overdrive set to 1, the image is clear. Overshoot will depend a lot on the game and the type of scene (contrast, lighting, colours). On most CSGO maps, I can set the overdrive to 4 without seeing the overshoot, which gives very sharp images of movements. Elden Ring is a very overshoot prone game and I find that the optimal setting is 2 or 3. Whatever the game, the sharpness is very satisfactory thanks to a well graduated and very effective overdrive.

        To sum up:

+ VA panel with a nice contrast ratio
        + 4K up to 144Hz max
        + very good input lag
        + very good fluidity felt
+ homogeneous image without light leakage
        + sharp image
        + good overdrive
        + Freesync Premium (LFC functional)
        + efficient matte panel
+ good value for money (the cheapest in its class)

        - remote control not easy to use
        - overshoot present on some game scenes despite overdrive

+- HDR ok without being exceptional
+- neutral colours that need careful adjustment for more vibrancy

A screen that I would recommend to any enthusiast gamer who plays in 4K.
