        Unusable in 1 year

After one year of use the player does not play bluray and 4k despite updates.

I am waiting for a reply from the manufacturer to fix it otherwise it will go back to your premises.

        Excellent

I have not yet been able to test 4K media but as far as 1K Blu-Rays and DVDs are concerned, no problem, disc access is very fast and interpolation to the 4K display is as good as it gets.

        Corresponds to my needs

I was looking for a player that could absolutely access the shared directories of my synology NAS in SMB (Samba): works with ripped DVDs but not with ripped Blu-Rays, you have to convert them to mkv and it works.
For ripped DVDs with multiple video tracks (director's commentary or other in parallel with the movie), it doesn't work (you have to delete the extra video track. No problem with physical DVD/Blu-Ray.
I don't have 4K so I have no opinion on it.

The big problem is the interface which is not ergonomic (euphemism) and painful to access the network (DLNA or Samba), it's not great for children, but they start to get used to it.
The audio output is coaxial (I needed either coaxial or optical, my amp not being equipped with an HDMI input)
For the price, it is a bit more expensive than I wanted to pay (30% more).

        panasonic 4k

a very good 4k uhd player . connected to a 4k uhd tv . gives a really beautiful image . moreover the quiq play menu at the home allows a quick configuration of the device . so really happy !! to follow on the long term !
