Bye bye ADSL!

Living in a pretty little town in western Lyon, I'm not lucky enough to have fibre optics or a decent ADSL connection. On the other hand, I am lucky enough to have quite a few 4G antennas (free) within a 5km radius. With my phone (Samsung A3 2017) it's very very rare to get 4G at home; but I'll give it a shot with this 4G modem. Indoors no 4G with this modem, but on the terrace, modem just laid horizontally on a table; 2 bars in 4G, speedtest gives: Ping: 24ms; Down: 68.27Mbps; Up: 6.53Mbps; Lyon LaFibre.info. It's more than I expected, but the modem is not meant to stay on the terrace. Its handy RJ45 port offers the possibility of linking it to a local network in order to share the internet connection, which is what I intend to do. I am currently ordering a remote antenna to leave on the terrace. Otherwise the device is well finished, the management software too. Good alternative to an ADSL box.

No longer works after 2 years of use

I paid a fortune for this router and it doesn't work after 2 years of use... Just at the end of the warranty as if by chance... Connect your phone to share the connection and it will be just as effective... Clearly a scam this product! A shame!

Not as described: "It stores multimedia content on an SD card".

There is no slot for an SD card, either on the device or in the instructions, contrary to the description on the product sheet on LDLC and other sales sites. I think that the manufacturer has recently changed the specifications without informing its customers. Apart from that, it's working very well at the moment, but I haven't tested the ethernet port yet.

used for 2 years before being replaced by the Netgear MR2100

I took a Netgear MR1100 4CA CAT16 1 Gbps max theoretical with the fixed price 4Gbox unlimited without fair-use D'Nrjmobile on the network 4G+ SFR 800 + 1800 Mhz I was thus customer approximately 1 year with them for then to subscribe to the subscription 4Gbox of Bouygues Telecom meanwhile I changed router to pass on the Netgear MR2100 5CA CAT20 2 Gbps theoretical

I've been using the MR1100 and MR2100 for some time now:

        > 4G LTE 5G MIMO Directional 700/800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz LowcostMobile 2x30cm Black SMA Cable LMR200 for Huawei B525, B528, B715, B310, B315, E5180, ASUS, TP Link, Netgear

        > 2 x 50cm Black SMA Female to SMA Male Cable Adapter for External Antenna and 4G LTE 5G Router Huawei B525, B528, E5186, TP Link, Teltonika

        > X2, SMA Female to SMA Male Extension Cable 2 x 2,5m LMR200 Black for External Antenna and 4G LTE 5G MIMO Router

        Good Product

Good product but short life span
2 years for me in daily use.
I have not seen any improvement with the purchase of an external antenna.

        Clearly an outstanding product!

I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of the product. When 3 operators emit only on 1 frequency (800 Mhz) and only 1 on the frequencies 700, 1800, 2600 Mhz in 4G (you guessed it?), this router which makes the aggregation of these three bands brings me an unparalleled flow (90 Mb/s) when I think back to my ADSL in 3 Mb/s... I had tried another one less expensive but without aggregation, I thought we could do better. It's the best, I recommend it without reserve!

        Order well packaged

Super efficient product with a lot of functionality.

The product does its job well and helps me out a lot. I had invested in a lower quality router at the beginning but this one is just perfect.

        Very good product

It is worth the price. The plastic finish, which might look a bit "cheap", is in fact very solid. It's very easy to get started, the settings via the interface are well adapted, in my opinion, for novices, a geek will be able to have a minimum of fun. Performance: whether it is 4G or wifi: RAS, latency times are very correct, its 4G power allows you to be almost not disconnected in a TGV and with a much higher speed than the WIFI proposed in this type of train ...

        Netgear 4G+ Router

The hardware is of excellent quality and works perfectly.
It has a lot of features and most importantly it doesn't consume data if nothing is connected.
The battery is good and durable, I haven't tested how many days it lasts, but a minimum of 2 days is for sure.
The small screen is a welcome feature, too bad you can't display what you want, such as speed and bandwidth.
        Very good overall, I recommend.
