it's an SSD so for those who don't know, well it goes faster than an HDD to put it simply.
This is the second Kingston SSD I've installed on computers running a Debian distribution, and I've never had a single problem installing or using it. Totally satisfied!

Hello. For this price, it's not a war lightning; but it definitely boosted my old laptop when starting up and running. The battery life has also increased by a good half hour.
It is working but on my side it is getting hotter even though it is being cooled by fans in the tower.
It's only a detail, because it works well since September.

Poor performance, freezes after deleting files, causes blue screens after 6 months of use, forced to put it in another PC to be recognised by the Kingston software in order to update it (and of course no update available). I suppose any other brand would be better (hard to do worse).
I was very pleased with the product and the delivery, very good product, recognized immediately by the bios. I have been using it for a while now and it has been a pleasure to use it again.

I would have gladly given 10/10 for the purchase of this 240GB SSD which gives me complete satisfaction, if it were not for the delivery which was defective. Since I plugged it into my old laptop bought in 2014, this computer has taken a big hit in terms of speed! In addition this drive is very light.
The previous 128GB SSD in my PC had reached its capacity limit. This 228GB gives it enough room for a few years. The installation was very easy, and without any difficulties.
Nothing to complain about, good quality/price ratio. Between this and a platter hard drive on a slow PC, it's night and day. It's a goodbye to endless disk accesses and "scratching" and hello silence and reactivity.
It works perfectly, very fast and very good value for money.

It was impossible to clone my Windows drive with AOMEI Backupper and with easeus todo backup, 80% error. The Kingston ssd only supports linux-Ubuntu and not Windows.
240 gigs:
200 gigs for Windows and programs, games, boot, and a couple of docus so you don't always have the big hard drive spinning all the time.
40 gigs for Linux and lots of software.
At this price, an SSD is a necessary or complementary element of a PC.
It will certainly never replace the terabytes of storage of a single hard drive, but it's nice to see a PC that boots up in a few seconds when cold!

This SSD is perfect for my needs due to its read/write speeds.
I always choose Kingston for RAM. For ssd it's the second one I buy. They are cheaper and as good as the Samsungs.
I bought it to install another OS on another PC (in a rack) and everything is ok.

I have ordered this internal hard drive for my use after a visit to the LDLC shop in Vaucluse. The brand is known as serious for the quality of its products. The installation is easy and the commissioning more delicate when you are not a specialist. The computer works well and is faster.
Bought to replace an old 2005 HDD on an old platform in Dual-Core 3.00ghz on socket 775.
I installed the SSD without any problem. Installed win10 without any problems and the computer now boots in 25s.
It's back on for another 4/5 years.
I don't know how fast it is, but considering the age of the platform ... it's already very good.

Bought to replace a 'Seagate BarraCuda' HDD (SATA3 - 6Gb/s - 7200rpm) containing an OS, on a PC of about 8 years old, the result is as good as it should be; but not without difficulty...

With this "format", you lose a usable part of your disk...
- Even after formatting in MBR and setting my motherboard to be compatible with my "choice of BIOS", this SSD (which has been tested on several machines) had a lot of trouble being recognized (both by 'Windows 10' and by 'Linux')... I have never had this problem with any HDD before...
However, with some insistence and the help of LDLC's technical service, I managed to get it to work on my 'old' machine.
- The result is that my PC (i7-4790K - 32GB RAM 1600Mhz) has gained, as an example, 20 seconds when launching the OS; it takes 10 seconds at most to be fully launched at 100%.
In short, the time saving is much appreciated, but two days of hard work were necessary for this result...
