about to buy a $10 desktop mouse after the cumulative life of my last 3 gaming mice does not exceed that of my first Microsoft mouse, which, despite having been through the worst of treatments, still works...
I've been using it for a while now and I'm very happy with the way it works. This is my second G300s, I simply can't get enough of the configuration of its buttons near the index and middle fingers and moreover programmable (3 possible configurations). The "light" side of the G300s can leave you suspicious about its longevity, but I guarantee that my first G300s has withstood many, many clicks. In short, good and loyal services for this unique model and I hope that this second mouse will give me as much satisfaction as the first. I'm crossing my fingers that this model will not be abandoned by the manufacturer.
The product is as I expected, I hope it will last more than 2 years this time.
The mouse is an ambidextrous model with 9 programmable buttons, the 2 main buttons are concave, the scroll wheel is notched, and the wizard software is practical.
The design of this mouse is very strange.
At the back I have half my hand dragging on the mouse pad as if it were too small. Yet I am a woman with small hands. But at the same time it's impossible to reach the buttons on the front of the mouse with my fingers as if it was too big. Really not ergonomic.
It's the first time I've ever had a mouse like this.
So I can't use it for gaming, I use it at the office.
Great for left-handed play, coupled with the excellent Accuratus LH keyboard (also from LDLC). The Logitech utility is still not very practical, but it's manageable with a little patience!
Rather for claw grip, small hands and fans of light mice, it is responsive, reliable and slow to wear out (four years before League of Legends got the better of the right click, at least 3-4 games a day!)
Very long cable, easy to integrate into your tower's wire management (less simple on a laptop) without the hassle of a short cable.
If all this suits you, go for it, it's cheap and well worth the price!
Good smile that replaces my ageing MS500 very well. It remains to be seen whether it will hold up as well over time.
This is the third G300 I've bought from LDLC, the first one broke down after many years of grinding games (and it's normal for it to end up messing up given the intensive use I've made of it). It's not too expensive and it's still one of the most practical gamer mice to use for a left-handed person, no question about it. I use it with a Logitech G13 as a right-handed keyboard and overall, I've never found a better setup for a pure left-handed person.
I bought this very good, responsive, and comfortable mouse for office use. I am very satisfied with it.

The buttons and the motion detection system are of good quality, which makes it possible to act precisely. I am satisfied.
Works perfectly with the Debian GNU/Linux operating system (no configuration required, just plug in the cable).
My previous mouse caused me allergies, so I had to change it for the third time (the first one being too big and giving me a sore wrist)

- buttons very badly placed
- pointer that tends to wander without being used
- expensive considering the quality
- to be reserved for people with very small hands
Good smile, nice in hand and in games. It's accurate and does the job in any fps, elke is aesthetically beautiful and the led are interchangeable I advise. Just don't forget to update the drivers and use drivercloud for that.
It's all in the title: I love this mouse, I've already bought the same one 3 times because for me there is nothing better but the click ends up not working each time after 2 years... I'm not going to get into the obsolescence debate, I just haven't had a chance... We'll see if this one lasts longer
I already had the first g300 which died after 5 years of good and loyal service, so I got its little sister. The mouse is great, I love this mouse, the shortcuts are well placed and the grip is pleasant, attention the mouse is light but once accustomed no worries.

Left-handed and using my mice left-handed, this model in addition to all the qualities already stated, has the merit of being one of the very few ambidextrous mice with more than 2 buttons. Suitable for gaming, while being usable normally by a left-handed person: no unusable buttons that hurt, under the middle finger among others.
I bought it to make sure I'd have this model when the one I'm currently using breaks down.
After many hours of game testing (FPS/TPS) the mouse has some flaws.
- The scroll wheel is too soft, which, when you use the scroll click to do an action, changes the object in hand.
- The 4 keys G4 G5 G6 and G7 are not usable in many games.
- The mouse laser does anything when you use a very low sensitivity. (Large arm stroke to turn)
I strongly advise against this mouse for FPS
The mouse is a bit light but very precise, well-fitted to the hand, the buttons are accessible naturally, rather pretty with the sides that light up and the matte/glossy black side of the shell. For the price it's perfect.
Not being a crazy gamer, I still bought this mouse to complete my first gamer laptop.
It does the job perfectly, no need to put more on it.
The software allows you to change the colour (anecdotal) and to set the buttons according to each game. But I haven't done the trick yet, my fingers are a bit too stiff ;-)
Just one point, it's way too sensitive to do office work. I could have made specific settings but I preferred to buy another mouse more classic.
Bought as a replacement for a defunct G300, after 4 years of service, which is not too long. I hope the pads will last longer than the G300's!
The G300 I left was causing usb micro-disconnections, and it took me a few days of research and a few visits to forums to discover the culprit, after having suspected all eight of my connected devices...
I've been using a lesser quality mouse before (cm storm keyboard/mouse pack), this mouse is very nice, but I find it a bit light for my taste. It's a very good quality/price ratio, and it's easy to customize with the logitech software. I would recommend

A new way to use your mouse. The additional keys still need to be configured but when this is done I will navigate with this mouse like I never did before.
The Logitech software to configure it is not very user friendly not enough for my taste, I think I would prefer to configure it on Linux with https://github.com/krayon/ratslap and a good old configuration file. That's one of the reasons I chose this mouse; it's the only one perfectly configurable under linux.
The ergonomics, finger placement and DPI is great. I can't wait to use it extensively in games. Don't hesitate, this is the best mid-range gaming mouse for Linux users.
I replaced a G300 that had a problem with this one, the G300s whatever names they carry are very good mice for setting up buttons and for games, the light effects are obsolete but handy for knowing what program you are using it in.
What can I say about LDLC? Always the same things.

After years of using the venerable G300 (red and black and other LED colours) I am not disappointed with the G300S.
Small drawbacks: one of the top buttons would have deserved to be accessible directly under the thumb and still no configuration software for Unix/Linux.
I have been following LDLC and Logitech since...since...and I have always enjoyed their mice and keyboards. The G300s is no exception to the brand's quality, ergonomics and precision.
If there was a downside, it would be the position of the buttons, why put them where they are? They've always been on the side for ages, but hey, you get used to it.
I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it's a quick delivery.

It's only after the 5th year that its big sister (the same, but a bit older) started to show signs of weakness. You can bind up to 9 buttons on your mouse (it will even keep the settings in memory, in case you're afraid it won't work on your buddy's PC at a LAN party). The software that comes with it is relatively light and offers you the possibility to configure everything without problems.
I highly recommend it and so does my wallet :)
I have hands that are 19-20cm long (tip of middle finger to base of palm) and 10cm wide (half way up, including thumb), so my hands are pretty average and I find it horribly small.
I feel permanently uncomfortable... I sometimes stick a piece of foam on it to make it thicker
The G300s looks a bit cheap in the plastic where you put your hand knob, it's also a bit thin there but still very correct.
The software works very well but the only drawback is that the Logitech software is not available for Linux users, which is a bit of a handicap for me. I'm glad that you can save your configuration (colour, DPI, etc) in the mouse. I really recommend it for its price.
The mouse is of good quality, but I expected it to fit better in the hand like the M500 from the same brand.
Otherwise the programming of the buttons is perfect (several choices, even programming of several keys.
I really recommend this mouse because it's not too expensive, it's really affordable even for people who don't have a salary.

The software that is compatible with the mouse is very clear and easy to use. The software allows us to change the speed of our cursor, the colour and also to program the buttons.
The 4 buttons are a real plus in game!
Be careful when you full tap-tap you can "slide" on the wrong click and depending on what you have set up it can become annoying in-game.
The logitech assistant software is not the best but it is good and not too complicated to use.
This g300s is really excellent value for money I recommend it
For the use I make of it, it corresponds perfectly to my expectations.
The pluses remain:
- The price.
- The quality of the material.
- The design.
- The grip (it slides well on a good carpet ;) )
The negs:
- You can hear the click buttons.
- Back/Forward button are not configured so a little waste of time ^^ (I'm just kidding)
For a standard use I don't ask more.

Bought for work (developer), my criterion was cheap logitech with lots of buttons to put my useful keyboard shortcuts to save precious time (it avoids searching 50 000 times F5 or CTRL+S for example), it was my choice directly and do not regret!
The blue colour you see on the mouse, are LEDS of which you can choose between several colours (you can assign a change of colours to a button of the mouse at your choice)
Used on my Lenovo laptop. For gaming on my "fixed" PC, I use a G502 Proteus Core which is just as good.

I've had a Logitech Gaming G300 for over 5 years now, but the left and right clicks finally gave up the ghost almost simultaneously after tens of millions of clicks.
So I logically opted for the G300s which is proving to be an excellent successor.
Technically, it is perfectly suited for gaming, with all 9 buttons configurable by shortcuts/keys/macro.
The price/performance ratio is very good, you can rarely find such a good quality for such a reasonable price!

Nice mouse with an eye-catching design. The 9 buttons are very nice, the logo still hasn't worn out after 4 months and daily use.
The lighting is nice, you play with it at first and then you forget that there is this feature x).
The only problem is the positioning of buttons 4,5,6 and 7 which are a bit painful to access as I don't have very long fingers (I'm 1m76 so within the norm), I have to look at the mouse to click on the button and almost spread my fingers. I'm exaggerating a bit but I think there were better places for them.
The thumb is still useless when all it wants to do is participate, poor guy.

I bought this mouse at the same time as my first mounted PC, the grip is really nice and the reactivity impeccable. I like the little blue light on the sides but it's my first gamer mouse so I don't know if it's common practice.
I had the G300 (red sole) and it was starting to double click. So, having a small hand but being a player I took the twin sister of the G300, the G300S.
The cable is a bit stiffer, but nothing to complain about. It is light and the extra buttons are easy to access.
I like: Design, comfort, ease of configuration, price
I don't like : a bit small for my big hands
Conclusion : I recommend this mouse to the gamer as well as to the pro because good grip, good pad, very interesting price for the quality of a Logitech product

This mouse is just perfect, it's cheap and yet it's quality! It's not expensive and yet it's quality! You plug it in, it's installed straight away, the settings are very easy, the software detects the games automatically, what more can I say except that this mouse is great.
