I chose this product because it was well rated, inexpensive, had modern Wifi protocols and was backwards compatible.
In reality, it picks up my access point which is next door, but that's all. The various access points in the neighbourhood aren't even seen.
Does its job, but forget the range.
Easy to mount, easy to screw in, this 3.5" cradle for 2.5" hard drives is very well thought out. For the thickness of a 3.5" hard drive, there are two 2.5" drive slots.
I already have a 5.25" cradle for 3.5" hard drives, so I put my 3.5" cradle in it, perfect installation.
It's not a big expense
so it's worth paying a little more ..............
Very good installation. I was able to change my 3.5" HDD for a new 2.5" SSD.
The pre-drilling for the screws is well done, the SSD can be inserted and removed manually very easily. I will have to think about getting it for a next computer.

This dock allows you to put two 2 1/2 hard disks (2 HDD or 2 SSD or 1 SSD + 1 HDD) when you have the space to install a 3 1/2 hard disk.

I came across this dock while looking for a 2.5" SATA drive to house my new Crucial 1TB 2.5" SATA base SSD. I had no doubt that there would be no quality issues due to the fact that I use many Icy Dock devices.
The unit comes in a sturdy cardboard box with everything you need to mount two 2.5" drives: screw in a full instruction manual and the 2.5" to 3.5" adapter

The SSD(s) (max. 2) clip in. It is made of plastic but very robust and there is no need to struggle with screwing it into a 3.5 slot.

This is a very good product that fits in a 3.5' slot. It allows you to mount two 2.5' discs without screws. The plastic is rather well made and allows a relatively easy removal of the disks. The mounting in the 3.5' bay is done with screws. I used it in an acer slim pc to mount 2 disks (1 ssd and 1 hdd) because there was only one 3.5' bay.

Bought to hold a Samsung 512MB, installation is a breeze. The dock itself is clipped into a drawer of my Corsair 650D tower, no more screws! I highly recommend this product.

I didn't expect much. And yet, this product is excellent. My evo850 SSD fit perfectly in a silencio cool master tower. The stand is very rigid. I've been using it for a while now, but it's not too much of a hassle. At this price, what more could you ask for?
This product fits everywhere (well everywhere in my house: old HP tower). I took it to boost my old workstation with a Samsung 250MB 750 EVO SSD. Good eye and very useful to have put some screws. Very good product even if the price is a bit high I think.
really the perfect product to include 2 SSD's in a tight case. with 2 parker screws that go well (you can't have everything on hand) it's more than enough to anchor this dock solidly

I didn't actually need it. On my PC, there was a 2.5" bracket slot. So I didn't have to use it.
Otherwise it seems to be just what I expected
I've been using it for a while now and it's a great tool to help me with my work, but I'm not sure how to use it. It's very easy to use, I put two ssd's in the drawer and put it in a 3.5 rack, and "click" (noise when you put the ssd in), I save a space.
The system is easy to use.
A part of the dock presses on the back of the disc to hold it in place.
It seems to me that this pressure is quite important.
When used with Samsung SSDs, it seems to do the trick.
But when mounted, it's a pain in the ass to put so much pressure on a new SSD...
I hope it won't deteriorate over time.

No need to spend more on a 2.5/3.5 adapter.
I have been a customer since 2001 and the order went very smoothly as usual.
I took the ssd, pushed the ssd in, it clicked and there was a locked ssd ready to go into a 3.5 slot. Easy and fast. A negative point? There is only one set of small screws supplied with it, so it doesn't fit in every slot, but considering the little movement an ssd produces, I didn't even need to screw it in to make it fit. Great!
This little box, which doesn't look like much at first, is just a little marvel that does everything you expect it to do.
Fits easily into a 3.5" rack (the normal rack for traditional hard drives)
I would recommend however to install your SSDs in the rack first before installing the rack.
Small note:
it hosts 2 SSDs (one on top, one on bottom), which is very useful when you want a dual boot with a dedicated windows ssd and a dedicated linux ssd.
Quick and easy to assemble, this SSD drawer : (2 drives) is really the product I was waiting for to include my SSD in my tower. In addition, the SSD drives are very easily removable while the drawer remains fixed. An excellent product.
I've been looking for a dock to properly install a 2.5 SSD in a 3.5 slot in my tower for a while now, I think I've found it! Ok it's plastic and you have to be careful with the screw thread (to attach the dock in its 3.5 slot), but I don't dismantle my CPU every week so if I'm a bit careful when screwing it in, everything is fine.
The SSD is mounted without screws and fits well in the dock.

Very convenient to install two SSDs, even if the connection of the SATA and PSU cables is not necessarily easy since the 2 drives are very close to each other. If there was more space it would be even better.
For this price, you get a dock that can accommodate 2 HDDs, which is already very interesting.
Now, that it can be mounted without screws, it's even better :)
In short, it's not the first one I've bought, and it's certainly not the last; for me, it's the best 2.5" -> 3.5" adapter on the market.
This was a first for me, as I had to "upgrade" my aging tower PC with a new SSD. And I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the "ICY DOCK". Original concept, very practical, good material, not fragile at all, easy to use, screws included and heat flow channelling, I have to admit that I am very happy with this purchase...
