A good wi-fi key
The TL-WN821N is a good plug-and-play wi-fi dongle, offering good throughput (300mb/s) and can be taken anywhere, which is a great help when you have a PC without a network card.

I didn't use the CD supplied to install the drivers. For XP I downloaded from the TP-Link site, and for Ubuntu I followed this: https://fostips.com/realtek-wifi-drivers-ubuntu-linux-mint/
In the end, everything worked fine.
The orders always arrive on time and the service in the shop (in St Martin d'Hères) is impeccable. What more could you ask for?
Comes with a USB extension cable.
Recognised under LINUX mint 20 without the need to install drivers.
Grandma happy to see her TV on Pc.
nickel
Recognised natively under linux mint 20 without the need to install drivers. YESSS!
Comes with a USB extension cable.
Grandma is happy, she can spend her days on bellesFessesDePapy.con
On Ubuntu 18.04, you plug in, in the settings you can immediately connect to a network. Very simple. I'm not very demanding about the speed, so I don't know.
9/10 for the size and it is not possible to hang the cap on the key.
Ultra simple to install, although the drivers on my previous key that failed may have been the same.
In any case, this product does what you want it to do, for an unbeatable price!
The key did not work anymore 15 days after the end of the warranty! I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good key, powerful enough for surfing and video, film etc.... I'm not sure how to use it. I'm disappointed, I was really happy with it.
very good value for money nothing to say picks up very well drivers preloaded on it and usb extension works very well good bandwidth
It is difficult to find a wifi key with free drivers and firmware.
The product sheet doesn't indicate this, as I imagine it varies depending on the arrival, but the one I received would be the V6 (identified as V5). The wikidevi site gives quite a lot of info on this, you have to be very picky to see which driver+firmware pair supports the device.
So despite the installation of firmware-realtek and the identification of the key in dmesg, the system does not deign to load a module, so no wifi interface is visible. Linux kernel version 5.2.0.
I have no other possibility to connect to the internet (no WiFi card in the computer), this dongle allowed me to do it thanks to the help on the forums (askubuntu and forum-ubuntu): there are adapted drivers which adapt to the Kernel evolutions automatically. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to use this product, but I'm sure I'll be able to use it again in the future.
I have to see in the long run but for the moment everything is ok.
The key worked well for 6 months then a lot of speed cuts or big drops that made me download at 30kb/s, until today everything worked well but now nothing ...
It's still a good key if it's for occasional use.
As a solution before pulling an Ethernet cable from my box to the room where my PC is located. I had frequent problems with the connection (which came from the wifi key and not from the wifi as the connection was working properly with my laptop).
It's always useful for a backup solution. But for a permanent solution, it's not worth it.
No particular problems. The installation is done without problems under Windows 7. This is a good Wi-Fi stick with a great price/performance ratio.
Recommended if your PC does not have Wi-Fi.
I recommend this WIFI dongle, it is recognized by windows 10, perfect for coupling a computer with a microsoft lumia 950, delivery is always fast and the packaging is perfect
