Direct Digital Path: Unlike other CD players that use conventional copper tracks to transfer the digital audio signal, the DX-C390 uses a shielded cable to transmit the digital bitstream directly from the disc to the rear panel. Using Onkyo's proprietaryVLSC technology, data is continuously sampled and linked using real-time analogue smoothing to produce a perfectly coherent output waveform. The VLSC digital-to-analog conversion method generates a high-resolution output signal free from transient noise, faithfully reproducing the acoustic details and subtle nuances of all your audio sources.
MP3 playback: Up to 10 hours or more of music on a single disc, depending on the bit rate of the MP3 files. Continuously decoded via Onkyo's exclusive VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) to bring out nuances and clarity you never imagined possible.
