Each Nd5 is meticulously handcrafted by Rega's highly skilled technicians. The stylus profile is a perfect elliptical bare diamond. It is a true ellipse created by an elliptical grinding process made from polycrystalline artificial diamond.

Eac h Nd5 is meticulously handcrafted by Rega's highly skilled technicians. The stylus profile is a perfect elliptical bare diamond. It is a true ellipse created by an elliptical grinding process made from polycrystalline artificial diamond. The design uses a completely new generator geometry with perfect symmetry to achieve precise channel balance. TheNd5cell also features optimised pole spacing for superior linearity and crosstalk characteristics. This provides a much wider soundstage than previous models. This cell is created with miniaturised parallel coils that are wound internally using 38 micron wire with only 1275 turns. This produces a low-inductance, low-impedance generator offering dramatically improved high-frequency response.
