This model incorporates a Filmmaker mode that preserves the fluidity of movement, cinematic colours, dynamic range and brightness imagined by directors for the big screen. This JVC projector is designed to meet the needs of filmmakers.
JVC's exclusive Blu-Escent laser light source technology uses a blue laser diode as the light source. The DLA-NZ500 achieves a high brightness of 2,000 lm. This model has a laser life of approximately 20,000 hours.
Incredible HDR technology
The JVC DLA-NZ500 benefits from even more advanced HDR technology. Frame Adapt HDR uses a proprietary algorithm to instantly analyse the maximum brightness of any HDR10 content. Tone mapping has been completely redesigned to deliver HDR images with higher definition. In addition, the tone curve selection algorithm has also been improved to reproduce brighter, more colourful HDR images with a wider dynamic range.
The new Deep Black Tone Control function has been added to Frame Adapt HDR, with a new algorithm to further soften tones in dark areas to achieve even more realistic dark areas. This feature maximises the dynamic range of 4K D-ILA cameras, delivering images with more contrast than ever before. Scenes with light and dark tones, such as night landscapes, can be projected with greater realism.
Realistic colours
JVC's newly developedwide-aperture 4K compatible lens (80mm, 11 groups, 15 lenses) offers full native 4K D-ILA resolution even at the edges of the screen. The DLA-NZ500 also covers 100% of DCI-P3 and Rec.709 colour spaces, ensuring colour accuracy and a perfect reproduction of the director's vision.
Installing this projector in your living room will be child's play, thanks to Lens Shift Vertical, a powerful 1.6x zoom and automatic vertical and horizontal keystone correction. The JVC DLA-NZ500 also offers a full range of connectivity with 2 HDMI 2.0 ports and 1 USB 2.0 port for displaying content from a USB key or external hard drive with ease.
The DLA-NZ500 is ISFccc certified. Renowned ISFccc calibration allows image and colour performance to be customised for each space, and offers preset day/night light balancing modes.
