From the looks of them, it's clear that Ruark Audio hopes they'll follow in the footsteps of the original Sabre speakers, released in 1985. They were a great success and were much appreciated by the many music lovers who adopted them. Today, Ruark Audio has done everything in its power to ensure that these speakers set a new benchmark. Irresistible speakers with a vintage design
Drawing on the speaker design expertise of Ruark Audio 's engineers, the Sabre R boasts a serious soundstage, enhanced by silk-dome tweeters and a vintage design.26mm silk dome tweeters with neodymium motor system and 15cm mid/bass transducers with treated natural fibre cone, 30mm 4-layer voice coil and long-throw motor.
Their reinforced and damped MDF enclosures also feature a rear bass-reflex port, offering great placement versatility. Connection to the source device is via solid gold-plated terminals.
The compact Sabre-R speakers have a frequency response of 50Hz - 20kHz, a crossover frequency of 2.2kHZ and a sensitivity of 86dB. They will thrive with amplification from 25 to 100W.
