The Blackmagic Video Assist Video 5" 3G is a portable monitor, a professional recorder and a portable oscilloscope. In short, it's a fantastic camera viewfinder! This clever product lets you add higher quality recording codecs. It gives you a larger monitor for any SDI or HDMI camera! Its new design includes innovations such as 4 integrated bezels, improved focus assist features, a metering indicator and integrated 3D LUTs. This 3G model supports formats up to 1080p60. The new design also incorporates Sony L-series batteries for longer battery life. The Blackmagic Video Assist is really 4 products in one!

The Video Assist 5" 3G supports video formats up to 1080p60 and has a large 5" LCD screen for focusing. This product has 3G-SDI and HDMI connections. This model includes an SD card reader for ProRes and DNxHD recording.Other features include WFM, Vector, Histogram and RGB Parade Glasses modes plus3D LUTs!
All Video Assist models feature a large touch screen with all the controls for recording, clip playback, viewing glasses and adjusting focus assist functions. All models include a rear signal lamp, a front panel speaker for clip playback and a headphone socket. Video Assist is powered by 2 Sony L-series batteries that can be changed on the fly. Video Assist makes framing photos and focusing incredibly easy. The touch screen displays critical information during shooting including timecode, transport control, audio indicators and a histogram for exposure, this is a really beneficial product that will make your life much easier.
