Not acceptable for a product at that price
Ordered in physical shops.
Particularly for a product priced at 1,200€ (which had increased by 50€ between the day before and the day of purchase, and with no possibility of any commercial gesture on the part of the shop...) it has an unacceptable defect: the noise of the fans.
We had it exchanged (not without difficulty) for the same model, in case it was a manufacturing fault, but unfortunately it was a design fault! (even if the manufacturer, after analysing the problem for itself, subsequently decided that it wasn't).
In fact, although this GPU (KFA2 4080 super ST) has very few coil whines, and has very good cooling, these fans make a very audible and particularly unpleasant rotor noise, especially over the long term. It's not 'wind' noise but 'motor' noise, like badly controlled vibrations, only when they're running (1000rpm at minimum). None of the 7 fans (or the watercooling pump!) in the rest of my PC setup make that much noise, not even in my dusty old PCs.
=> To get a better idea, here's a link to a video by a German user that highlights the problem very well (if links are ever forbidden, I'd be grateful if the moderators could correct it): https://youtu.be/gaOsr0KWxA8
Fortunately for me, after a wait of ~2 months, and numerous exchanges with LDLC, they agreed to provide me with a credit note to change my model. This time we went for a "Gigabyte 4080 SUPER GAMING OC", and it's night and day. Although its fans run at a minimum of 1300rpm (again due to limitations in the card's internal bios), they don't make that rotor noise at all (and no more 'wind' noise, which is all to the good).
So be careful with your purchases. It's inconceivable these days that when you buy a product at this price, something as basic as the fans can't be faultless.
