Power, reliability and compactness: these are the characteristics that define Focal's SUB 1000 F . With its 30 cm driver with natural flax sandwich cone and powerful 1000 W BASH amplifier, the SUB 1000 F will easily complete your home cinema system. The driver is fitted with a dual motor for greater linearity and to ensure optimum magnetic power to the voice coil. With its closed construction, this subwoofer is free from any parasitic noise.
In the purest Focal tradition
The Sub 1000 F subwoofer has been designed for home cinema use, in the purest Focal tradition.
The driver of this subwoofer uses Flax technology. Flax is an ecotextile with amazing structural properties, particularly suited to acoustic reproduction: light, rigid and well-damped. Flax membranes offer greater timbre neutrality and better sound definition. Based on the Flax cones developed for the Aria 900 range of loudspeakers, the woofer cone of the Sub 1000 F benefits from a new, even more rigid construction: 2 sheets of 160g/m2 fibreglass and a 250g/m2 linen core. It can withstand the high stresses associated with subwoofer use.
The Sub 1000 F subwoofer also benefits from a motor/coil assembly optimised to keep the coil temperature as low as possible. The result is a well-articulated bass, improved dynamics and high SPL (103.5dB/1m @ 40Hz). Focal's Research & Development team developed a specific spider/suspension assembly for the Sub 1000 F. The dynamic behaviour of the moving element is perfectly controlled and allows us to obtain a bass that is always controlled, even with very high travel (up to 43 mm).
