Sony brings you the ECM-M1. This model redefines the performance of shotgun microphones thanks to a technology that offers, for the first time in the world, 8 audio recording modes in a compact and versatile microphone with exceptional audio quality.

One microphone for eight audio recording modes

The ECM-M1's beam-forming technology optimises pick-up sensitivity in the desired directions while reducing sensitivity in other directions. The result is an incredibly compact and versatile microphone that delivers high performance, even in difficult audio environments.

The ECM-M1 offers you three polar patterns: Superdirectional: targeted area at the front. Unidirectional: a wide field in front while limiting the pick-up of sound coming from behind. And finally, omnidirectional: picks up sound equally in all directions.

The ECM-M1 features digital signal processing for quality sound. The digital noise filter removes continuous background noise for clear recording. The low-pass filter attenuates wind noise, air conditioning hum and other low-frequency vibrations. Thedigital audio interface provides a 100% digital signal path between the microphone and the device.,avoiding the noise and distortion of analogue transmission while taking full advantage of digital processing.

Battery and cable-free operation

The ECM-M1 offers easy-to-use controls and simple connection to compatible cameras. On compatible cameras, channels 1 and 2 record with the selected polar pattern, while channels 3 and 4 can record omnidirectionally at different sensitivities (-20 dB on channel 4). on channel 4). Multiple, clearly labelled controls make it easy to set and check all microphone parameters at a glance, for simplified operation.

Support for the Multi Interface Shoe means you can shoot without wires or batteries, and start recording as soon as the microphone is attached to the shoe on compatible cameras.It comes with an effective, easily detachable furry windscreen to reduce wind noise when shooting on location. Designed to withstand dust and moisture, the ECM-M1 ensures reliable operation in harsh outdoor conditions
