Weighing in at just 161 grams, the Rode NTG2 shotgun mic is ideal for pole mounting, but will also fit neatly on your camera for accurate sound recording. The NTG2 has a supercardioid pickup pattern that picks up sound from the front and sides and rejects it over a range of 150° at the rear. It is specifically designed for professional use in the film, video, television and production industries. This microphone comes with a number of useful accessories to ensure good quality recordings.
Broadcast quality
This ultra-reliable Rode microphone provides clear, noise-free sound. The included windscreen minimises breeze and pop noise during recording, making it perfect for dubbing or voice-over recording. In addition to a 20Hz~20kHz bandwidth, it features a filter to cut out low frequency noise from air conditioning or traffic, for example.
The microphone can be powered by either a AA (1.5V) or P48 phantom battery. Choose battery power if you wish to use the NTG2 with a digital SLR camera which does not usually provide phantom power as is the case with professional devices. For ease of transport, the entire package is packaged in a zippered, padded pouch.
