    USB hub? Scam!

Bought in a shop with the endorsement of a sales assistant; the aim was to have a USB hub that would extend the ports of my computer and that could also be used as a charger by relying on the PC's power supply. I needed 1.5m of cable, so the item seemed perfect for the purpose, especially as the box said "4 port USB hub".
Connected to the PC's USB-C port, it wasn't detected (it didn't even display "USB device not recognised").
I go to the Belkin website, no mention of the Hub feature. On Windows 10, forced detection doesn't find the Hub.
Just in case, I tried on my powered laptop: nothing either.

In short, IT IS NOT A HUB.

In short, I've been ripped off big time.
