Very good product, I recommend it, runs big games and the latest ones well, lets you stream and play without latency.
Nothing to complain about when ordering via the app, the tracking and speed of delivery, and the packaging of the products is beyond reproach.
Thank you LDLC
I've come a long, long way: a Core i5 3570k and a GTX660, bought in 2012. Its rather compact size: although taller, this RTX is a little shorter than my previous card.
I use Archlinux and to get my GTX to work, I had to go through the AUR repositories to install an NVIDIA 470 driver that supports this card.
I will explain to you the procedure to follow in order to update your driver in this case;
- Delete your old drivers: pacman -Rs nvidia-470xx-dkms nvidia-470xx-settings nvidia-470xx-utils opencl-nvidia-470xx
- Without rebooting (important): install the official driver: pacman -S nvidia lib32-nvidia-utils lib32-opencl-nvidia nvidia-settings
- Regenerate the init ramdisk disk: mkinitcpio -p linux
Switch off your computer to install the new card. Note that this card is PCIe 6+2 compatible.
Switch your computer back on and you should have a working graphics card.
What performance in 1080p? Obviously it's a huge 'gap' as I think I'm getting between 500% and 1000% increase in performance:
- Unigine Heaven, from 22 FPS to 114 in 1080p extrem
- The Witcher 3 'classic', from 20-28 fps in 1080p with low settings to 60 fps (locked?) in extreme
- Kingdom Come Deliverance, I went from 30-40 fps in 720p to around 90-100 in 1080p with high graphics.
So it's an excellent deal if you've got a processor that's over 10 years old and you want to make do with 1080p.
Idle power consumption is also lower, I'm using a Belkin meter and it's 10W lower than my GTX!
Under Archlinux, RGB control is possible using the AUR version of openrgb.
The only negative point is that I can't control the fan speed to less than 30%, I could go down to 10% with the GTX.
