Nothing to say about the Macbook, it has everything I was looking for: no fan, very good responsiveness (software development use). I was a bit worried that 8GB of ram wouldn't be enough, but even with several docker containers it's fine. The apple silicon cpus are really impressive :)
It even does well on CAD: Fusion 360, which has the disadvantage of running on Rosetta, is usable - as long as you're not assembling thousands of parts, of course.
Beware of the number of ports (2x thunderbolt), it's still a bit light...

The screen is magnificent, ultra-bright, and allows you to work comfortably even in direct sunlight. It always stays cool, doesn't heat up, and is totally silent thanks to the absence of fans.
