Whether you're streaming the latest blockbuster or watching your precious Blu-ray collection, you know that the action on screen only really comes to life with immersive sound. That's why Cambridge Audio has designed this 5.1 system featuring 5 Min22 compact speakers with an X301 subwoofer and all the cables you need. The Minx 's compact form and high-quality performance allow you to enjoy the magic of movies without your AV setup dominating the room.
For total sound immersion
Because Minx Min22 speakers are small for their capabilities and use innovative speaker technology, you have flexibility in exactly where you place them. Typically, 2 Min22s on either side of the screen, with another underneath for dialogue, with 2 at the back of the room for atmosphere and the X301 subwoofer quietly adding a satisfying 300W hum to the soundtracks.As well as the big screen, you'll also need an AV amplifier for home cinema. Cambridge Audio's Minx S325 5.1 home cinema package is a welcome upgrade from the bulky, inferior speakers often supplied with AV amplifiers. You can wall-mount the small Min22 speakers or accessorise them with our optional custom brackets and fixtures. The powerful X301 lacks nothing.
Real performance for an unforgettable experience
With 300 watts up its sleeve, the X301 subwoofer's dimensions give away its power. It's small enough to be tucked away in a corner, but attractive enough to be left on display. The 8" (200mm) amplified driver adds full, rich, detailed low frequency sound to the high and mid-range frequencies delivered by the five Min22 speakers.The Minx X301 has intuitive controls for volume, phase and crossover frequency, so you can fine-tune performance with your Min22 speakers. The X301's auto power-on mode turns it on when an AV signal is detected. So you won't forget to turn it on, and you won't have to worry about turning it off when the movie is over.
The right connections
The Minx Min22 speakers have hi-fi quality connectors (link posts) with banana plugs for quick installation of the 25m of cable included in this pack. The speaker screw mounts fit the supplied flush wall mounts, or one of our 3 optional accessories: table stand, adjustable wall mount and floor stand. In this configuration, the X301 comes with a 5m secondary cable.Main features:
