For gamers who demand the best motion and image clarity, the SCAR 18 offers an incredible Nebula display with a 240Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage and a staggering 500 nits of brightness for stunning gameplay. The 18-inch 16:10 QHD panel delivers stunning black depth for spectacular content, whether you're watching a movie or playing an arena shooter.
To accommodate such powerful components, the chassis and motherboard of the Strix SCAR 18 have been designed to accommodate a full-width heatsink, while the copper fins have been moved closer to the exhaust vents for more efficient cooling. This unique heatsink is made up of three different sections, surrounding the motherboard with very dense fins for a total surface area of 195,509 mm², an increase of 82.5% compared to the 2022 Strix SCAR 17. This design maximises the path available for hot air to escape from the machine and significantly increases overall cooling. Finally, the SCAR 18 has been able to push the limits of performance even further thanks to the introduction of a third fan that helps keep the GPU and VRAM cool. Combined with seven heatpipes and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, the SCAR 18's cooling system is an engineering marvel.
Dolby Atmos-powered speakers include two tweeters and two downward-firing woofers to create an authentic soundstage as you play. High-resolution audio lets you hear your music in the same quality as when it was recorded. Two Way AI Noise Cancelation processes incoming and outgoing audio signals to filter out all background noise, ensuring your calls, chats and streams are transmitted without disturbance.
The difference between winning and losing can be decided by a single keystroke, which is why the SCAR 18 features a professional-grade eSport keyboard designed to ensure victory. Built to last, the switches on the Strix SCAR keyboard are designed to withstand over 20 million presses, while the n-key rollover function ensures that your system never misses a command, even if you press several keys at once. The SCAR has a large keyboard with multimedia controls and dedicated shortcut keys that are set to volume and Armoury Crate controls by default, but can be customised for different functions or macros. With per-key RGB and Aura Sync customisation, the SCAR will always adopt the look that matches your mood.
The local Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) quantifies the user's exposure to electromagnetic waves from the equipment concerned. The maximum authorised SAR is 2 W/kg for the head and trunk and 4 W/kg for the limbs.

This PC is a sound and light show in itself, in my eyes it's the best value for money on the market!
Highly responsive, splendid image, anti-glare and comfortable for the eyes, greatly reducing eyestrain.
The PC's cooling system is just exceptional and above all doesn't make a crazy noise...
It's an exceptional product, there's no other word for it...
Delivered in 6 days on the banks of the Maroni river in Guyana, the parcel received a snag but not dramatic: the packaging is very well made, demonstrating if it was necessary, the seriousness of the box.
The product itself is of a very high standard: demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077 or RDR2 are now playable with full graphics that the PC can handle without a hitch.
So far, ASUS has never let me down and its laptops have held up well in the equatorial climate.
