    A fine working tool

This is the 3rd PC I've bought from LDLC (the first, an ASUS from 2011), and it's still working.
The PC 240 G8 is reliable, fairly light, suitable for advanced office work / sole proprietorship.
The processors are fast and powerful enough for the way I use the PC. I previously had a ProBook 820 or 830 (I don't remember) in my company, I7 processors, aluminium casing, extremely robust on the move, which made me want to stay with HP.
The keyboard is nice. The sound of the PC 240 G8 is quite powerful. I'm happy with the screen definition and colours.
The only downside: despite the precautions taken when removing USB media (systematically dismantling the peripheral), there came a time, after 4 months of use, when USB media were no longer recognised: USB sticks, disks, etc. This had never happened to me on a PC.
This had never happened to me on any PC. Very annoying.
I went into setup to deactivate/reactivate the USB function, and there it was again.
That was the only drawback I encountered. After 5 months of daily use, I'm satisfied with my choice of the 240 G8.
I'm still going to opt for an external keyboard, to protect the keys on the internal keyboard from my heavy typing (pressing the E key, in particular).

    Not satisfied

On paper, it has to be said that this laptop could boast fairly interesting value for money, without, however, going over the top. Unfortunately, my experience with this laptop so far has been pretty disastrous. When I bought it, it was supposed to have a backlit keyboard, according to the specification sheet at the time. In fact, this was one of my main reasons for buying it, as I was happy to find a rare gem at an unbeatable price. I was unpleasantly surprised to discover on first start-up that this was not the case. I reported this 'error' to the LDLC technical team and the record was immediately corrected. A very good point. But as you know, the first experience is often the most memorable, the most decisive. I decided to keep it anyway, because in this price range, you rarely find laptops with the same technical configuration (Intel 5 processor) and the same size. And if that was the only downside .... After 4 months of daily use (I'm a developer), the battery gave up the ghost (it stops charging). Fortunately, the warranty is still valid. I had already noticed that the battery's performance was quite appalling, discharging after 3 hours. I should point out that I don't use this laptop as a multimedia device, except when I need to watch programming tutorials online. I'm not really into music, TV series, etc. This lack of features probably indicates a manufacturing defect. So I returned the laptop for repair. As I'm an honest person, I wouldn't really recommend this laptop. Turn to other products, even if it means adding another hundred euros or so. As for me, I have no choice but to wait for my problem to be resolved. Having said that, I would renew my confidence in LDLC for my next purchase, as the team is responsive and listens to me.

    Hp 240 G8

    Device complies with detailed descriptions
The first touch is pleasant, the screen is visually comfortable for a 13".
But I find the start up a bit slow compared to my previous computer.
    Otherwise, very good device
