A fine working tool
This is the 3rd PC I've bought from LDLC (the first, an ASUS from 2011), and it's still working.
The PC 240 G8 is reliable, fairly light, suitable for advanced office work / sole proprietorship.
The processors are fast and powerful enough for the way I use the PC. I previously had a ProBook 820 or 830 (I don't remember) in my company, I7 processors, aluminium casing, extremely robust on the move, which made me want to stay with HP.
The keyboard is nice. The sound of the PC 240 G8 is quite powerful. I'm happy with the screen definition and colours.
The only downside: despite the precautions taken when removing USB media (systematically dismantling the peripheral), there came a time, after 4 months of use, when USB media were no longer recognised: USB sticks, disks, etc. This had never happened to me on a PC.
This had never happened to me on any PC. Very annoying.
I went into setup to deactivate/reactivate the USB function, and there it was again.
That was the only drawback I encountered. After 5 months of daily use, I'm satisfied with my choice of the 240 G8.
I'm still going to opt for an external keyboard, to protect the keys on the internal keyboard from my heavy typing (pressing the E key, in particular).
