I bought this subwoofer to support my TRIANGLE ELARA LN01A 2.0 connected speaker set which are excellent but clearly lack bass.
The speaker manual said to connect with an RCA Y cable, but the cabinet didn't seem to work when connecting the SUB OUT of the speakers to the 2 LINE IN inputs of the cabinet.
The manual for the sub seems to contradict this, as connecting the SUB OUT of the speakers to the LFE input of the sub works. It is therefore necessary to order a single RCA cable to connect this TALES 340 to the ELARA LN01A.
It is quite imposing, because it is literally a 35cm cube that must be placed in the room. It is therefore necessary to plan its location in advance, knowing that the vent is at the back and must have some space. The quality of the finish is impeccable.
I didn't find any significant difference when changing the Phase (0° - 180°) and Crossover (30Hz to 120Hz) settings. However, after adjusting the volume of the cabinet to a low average level, the result is very good.
There is a clear difference with the subwoofer, the bass sound seems to come directly from the speakers. I rediscovered most of my soundtracks with pleasure.
