Particularly well-suited to the frequency ranges typical of human voices, the SonyECM-G1 captures voice signals clearly and distinctly. It is ideal for filming vlogs, product tests and interviews.
Larger capsule for high quality sound
Equipped with a large-diameter (14.6 mm) microphone capsule, the ECM-G1 delivers high-quality audio recording comparable to that of high-end specialist recorders, with clear, crisp sound capture and effective noise suppression.
The ECM-G1 is equipped with an easily detachable windscreen to reduce wind noise when shooting on location.
The ECM-G1's anti-vibration design reduces small shocks and mechanical noise, especially when focusing or zooming. The cable-free connection via the Multi Interface Shoe eliminates the vibration noise usually caused by cables.
Compact, ultra-directional micro-gun format
The ECM-G1's supercardioid characteristics are ideal for vlogs and other productions where you want to focus on the sounds coming from the front of the camera, while suppressing ambient noise, echo and voice reverberation.
Measuring less than 50mm and weighing 34 grams, the ECM-G1 is very easy to transport to any location. It requires no cables and does not interfere with the viewfinder or framing, even when using wide-angle lenses, making it ideal for vlogging.
Connect the ECM-G1 to your Xperia or other smartphone to shoot vlogs with high quality sound. Its compact size makes it ideal for use with a smartphone.
An output jack is located on the side of the microphone. Use it with cameras, PCs, IC recorders and other compatible devices that have a power supply but no MI-hook. The recording cable is included.
