Add four additional communication ports to your laptop or desktop computer quickly and easily. This USB to RS232/422/485 serial adapter allows you to connect your serial devices via an external USB port. It converts a single USB port into four RS232/RS422/RS485 serial ports, allowing you to connect, monitor and control a wide range of serial devices, such as sensors, barcode scanners and LED signs. It supports four modes of operation, including RS232, RS422 and RS485 4-wire and 2-wire.
With its rugged IP30 metal enclosure, the serial adapter is designed to meet the extreme demands of harsh and mission-critical environments. It provides electrostatic discharge protection +/15 kV, which helps to reduce downtime in industrial environments where communication lines are most exposed to noise emissions or sudden voltage spikes. The serial adapter offers flexible mounting options, with an integrated wall mount bracket and a DIN rail mounting kit included. The supplied USB cable also features a screw lock for the host connection and the USB-B connector to prevent accidental disconnection. The serial adapter is equipped with high-speed UART, offering data transfer speeds of up to 921 Kb/s in RS232/422/485 operating modes.
