The StarTech.com ICUSB232FTN cable converts a USB 1.1 or 2.0 port to a serial RS232 DB9 null modem port, directly resolving DCE/DTE conflicts without the need for additional cables or serial crossover adapters.

The StarTech.com ICUSB232FTN cable converts a USB 1.1 or 2.0 port to a null modem RS232 DB9 serial port, directly resolving DCE/DTE conflicts without the need for additional cables or serial cross-over adapters.
This compact adapter offers communication port memory, allowing the COM port value to be automatically reassigned to the port if the cable is disconnected and then reconnected to the host computer, or if the system is rebooted. The integrated FTDI chipset supports additional customisation, advanced features and compatibility often not available with other solutions.
The USB to null modem adapter is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows®, Windows CE, Mac OS and Linux, making it easy to integrate into mixed environments.
