Perfect for charging

The cable is braided and therefore solid, and it's long enough to allow charging without the need for extension cords. It only allows you to charge, as described, which is a shame for the price, but not a problem: to transfer data, you sit next to the computer, and the original Apple cable will suffice (it's a bit damaged, but we won't be using it much now).
