The docking station is optimised for Mac Mini M1 and compatible with Mac Mini 2020. It cannot be used with Mac Mini models from 2018 and earlier.

    From the outset, a major shortcoming in use

    The product is nice in terms of integration with the Mac Mini, and the front connectors are very practical. Unfortunately, as soon as I used it for the first time, I noticed a problem with the SD card reader, which didn't work. After contacting Satechi support in the USA, they explained that the card had to be inserted upside down. No deterrent, and after managing to read the first card, I couldn't read anything after the second reading.
    I'd advise Satechi to upgrade their product to correct the problem with the SD slot, and to allow slightly more recent SDDs to be read.
