This micro ATX card was purchased because I couldn't find a good mini ITX solution to build a home NAS.
Its great advantage is to offer a good flexibility for a reasonable price, with all the SATA and M2 ports I want, a 2.5 Gbps RJ45 port and at least a PCIe 4/16x extension to add RJ45 ports later. The lack of Wifi is part of my choice, as wired links are preferable.
The UEFI is good, you can disable the burst to limit the CPU consumption. With an M2 system drive, three SATA drives, an i3 12100 and its UHD, 2x8GB of RAM and a 400W 80+gold power supply, I can get down to 30W right at the socket under OpenMediaVault and cap it at less than 100W under full load and file transfer in progress.
It's not bad, perfectible for a NAS (I would hope to go down to 26~28W) but satisfactory.
The B660 chipset is well used here and allows a substantial saving by avoiding the Z690.
I don't regret my choice, the quality of manufacture being at the rendezvous, simply a more simple and effective UEFI would have been better for my use, it is the only reproach which I can make, as well as the absence of a second port RJ45 1 or 2.5 Gbps, but I did not find any alternative this side.
Failure at startup. The diag with the support leads to a return of material (ram - the 4bars, the processor, the motherboard)
Sending the equipment in perfect condition.
Returned saying that the motherboard was damaged (sockets).
Returned to my home with only 1 ram bar out of 4 ...
The support and mediation tell me that I have only sent one ram bar and one motherboard.
I am sure that everything was in perfect condition and complete!
I have to say that I am very happy with the way the system is working and the way the system is working.
I am very very very dissatisfied!
If this opinion could help to find a solution, it would be better than a continuation of the litigation ...!
Have a nice day.
