It's okay for the price but...
-Small price for a large enough surface.
-Very pleasant to the touch, but I'm afraid it will get dirty quickly and be difficult to clean.
-The rgb band is wide enough, but maybe too bright.
-I'm not sure if this is a good idea, but it's not a good idea and it's a good idea to use it for a lot of different purposes.
-Only 3 effects available through the control box:
1 gradually changing soft gradient
2 gradually changing softly from one colour to another (red yellow green blue with gradations between each colour)
3 red
Maybe other effects are available via the HyperX NGENUITY software, but it's not available for Linux and mac (being on Debian, I can go and get my ass cooked to test it, but I'll look into it on the wine side without much hope).
If you don't need a 42 cm deep carpet, go buy "The G-Lab Rubidium" instead. I also like it, and it's better finished, with 14 effects directly available through the control box without software, and moreover it can be turned off through this box, whereas the hyperx remains on if you don't turn off the pc's power supply.
