Great value for money.
The app is very good too: user-friendly and full of tips (to be discovered over time, as it's very complicated).
Tapo Care (for a fee) isn't essential: a small SD card for a few euros and you're all set.
All you need is a good WiFi network (the TP Link mesh network also works well, although they're a bit optimistic about the range).
I'm delighted.

No WEB administration interface embedded in the camera, everything is done from the famous app, which does not fail to offer you every 3 clicks, to subscribe to the CLOUD ... What is excessively boring !!!
For the network part, no way to assign a FIXED IP, it is necessarily an @IP assigned by the router (the famous BOX). One can however trick so that the @IP remains fixed, but that becomes laborious for a user not informed with the @MAC and the rules of attribution of @IP according to the @MAC.

But now, how to make the family NAS the storage place ?... With the ONVIF protocol for example, on the 2020 port .... You have to create an account on the camera from an item hidden in a sub-menu; And there, oh miracle, all the ONVIF features of the camera work.
The optical quality of the lens is frankly limited ... Optical aberrations, pillow effects, spherization are permanent ... Well, for 45 balls, you can't have JAMES-WEBB either !!!!!

To set up this camera, you need to connect to it via Wi-Fi (with a phone for example). You can then use the Tapo APP to enter the parameters which will then allow it to connect itself to the home's WiFi network this time.
The only problem was that I couldn't connect to it. And yet I tried 3 different phones (android and IOS) and a laptop, following the video tutorial published by TPlink to the letter. It remains impossible to set up.

I tried to find out what was wrong with the TPlink hotline: But they are absolutely incompetent.
To conclude, this product is dubious and I give up after 3 weeks of trying. As always LDLC comes to the rescue and will refund me but I will still have lost the cost of 2 colissimo. I am very disappointed with TPlink, and for the second time.
Positive points: amazing image quality, especially at night. Excellent application: very easy installation, intuitive camera management (up to 32), exemplary recording management and playback, it works very well.
Points not so good: SD card hatch badly indicated (under the lens, you can only access it if you "look up"), only records in 720P on it, the maximum resolution of the camera is therefore useless. The sound is anecdotal, both in input and output.
Considering the price, I recommend it!
It works very well in general.
The image is very well defined in daylight and at night. One nuance: in case of backlighting the image is very overexposed. But it is still enough to be understood.
Another small drawback: we installed three of them in a house powered by an unstable box, which had to be replaced by a better quality model. Unfortunately, each time the box rejected the cameras, they had to be physically reset. A pity for cameras that we wanted to use mainly remotely.
