Good but... LOUD!
The card itself is good, the performance is good with a slight OC compared to FE.
Speaking of performance, the powerlimit is at 350w of memory, and it's not possible to increase it (for overclocking). If this is your project, do your research first, just to be sure that there is an "unbridled" vbios.
The temperature is not bad, with the additional fan (which by the way can't fit because it falls right in front of the rams for a msi z690 pro a, but I just put it on the cg and it doesn't move so it's not really a problem) it never reaches 70° (68° max) on big games with rtx (dying light 2 being a big one for example). The hotstop and memory temperatures peak at 85° for both, so it's far from being bad.
Note that with the additional fan (which saves between 1 and 2° but is not heard so it's only a bonus), the ventilation curve is slightly lowered (60% fan at 68°) and that it is undervolted to reduce noise and gain in performance (the powerlimit being reached on recent AAA games) by gaining a few degrees.
Noise is where it gets tricky. The fans are noisy (no airflow noise, but a rolling noise or engine noise, it makes a humming sound) and they turn on at 50% at regular intervals when you do nothing (eg internet) while the cg is at 30° (eg), you hear that in the tower. With headphones you can't hear anything of course, but when there is no noise in the room they don't get forgotten. This is a common problem for all owners of this card and a vbios maj was supposed to fix the problem but it didn't.
Not much else to add, if noise is your priority you'll have to move up a range, otherwise it's one of the cheapest 3080s and it's well cooled and does the job very well
