Impressive
TV Received, set up and tested quickly over a weekend. The management of the different streams is great and fluid. The colours are extraordinary. The menu is complete and you can go very far...too far perhaps in the image corrections. The luminance is top. The contrast ratios are amazing for a TV that is not OLED. It's simple, I've never seen such blacks on an LED TV. There is still some progress to be made before we have a black level equivalent to OLED. But for a private person who loves beautiful images, it's already really amazing.
Even with weak sources the upscaling is great and you don't see the flickering effect in the background like OLEDs on dark shots.
I use adapted HDMI 2.1 cables (48GBts/s) so that everything works well in all situations. Movie with dolby vision + atmos = absolute happiness.
Couldn't test with Next Gen console as it's almost impossible to get so I can't test 120FPS for the moment. The HDR is a real plus for games, even on PS4 or PC.
I bought this TV because of the light in the room and the fact that the TV is exposed to direct sunlight and I'm a gamer in my spare time, so it was too risky to buy an OLED.
I don't regret the purchase.
The only downside :
- The only downside is that the anti-reflective coating is not nearly as good as on other brands such as Sony. It's largely compensated by the brightness of the TV and thanks to the ambilight (which illuminates the room so there's no need for ambient light). So it's not too annoying even at midday.
- The weight: be careful if the TV is mounted on the wall on BA13 (plasterboard) with vulgar molly plugs. It will not be forgiven, I almost paid for it. I had to redo the TV in a hurry and reinforce the wall with a wooden plate for a better solidity. On this size it would be the case with any TV anyway I think.
