    Unsuitable product

I explained my needs to the seller: I have a Mac (Mac book air from 2013) with just a 3.5 mm jack audio output, no audio input for connecting a microphone. Apple's after-sales service told me that there were converters that could transform the signal from my microphone so that I could use it with my Mac via this audio input. I'm also open to a converter that would work via one of my USB sockets.
Having explained this to the sales assistant, he pointed me in the direction of the RODE SC4 product. I pointed out to him that the website described it as an adapter, not a converter. He told me that it would work, that it was also a converter. I trusted him and ordered with my eyes closed...
As a result, I ended up with a device that obviously wasn't what I wanted, and didn't allow me to plug my microphone into my Mac. I thought that, for want of a better solution, I'd plug my microphone into my Samsung phone with the RODE SC4. It fits into the sockets on both sides, yes, but my phone doesn't detect the microphone. In short, problem unresolved and 25 euros lost.
