On a smartphone, it can be used to adapt your 'old' headset or pedestrian kit to a 3.5 jack (TRRS format, plug with 3 black lines). This is not mentioned in the specification sheet.
On the other hand, still on a smartphone, when used for sound recording with an external microphone, the sound is nasal, and should be avoided for this use.
But the photos are accurate, and the delivery is top-notch!
My previous adaptor lived 1 year before having a false contact, this one lasted less than a week. I counted, it took me 6 trips. Knowing that I always store my headphones in a hard box, not in my pocket.
Now it's completely unusable.
(No problem with the delivery, LDLC always on top)
The adapter works but for a while now if the cable moves one iota the sound cuts out which is very unpleasant.
Also when I plug it into my phone (OnePlus 7T Pro) I feel like it doesn't go all the way in and it's like it's sliding around so it doesn't fit right.
I'm using this adapter on my smartphone and it's already making me miss the jacks on phones.
It works well, but the sound jumps when you move (I don't dance the samba, I walk with my phone in my pocket ;) ). Not very practical, considering that this is the main purpose of this adapter, for me...
