Very poor ASUS after-sales service
I have a problem with my PC restarting unexpectedly (1 to several times a day) and a problem with stains on the screen.
I called LDLC after-sales service and they told me that as I had bought on the website (and not in the shop) they were not responsible for after-sales service, but that I should contact ASUS after-sales service directly.
I contacted them and they asked me to do a factory reinstallation to check that it wasn't a software problem.
After doing this reinstallation, the problem persisted.
So I sent my computer to the after-sales service via DHL. They tell me that the problem with the screen is not covered by the warranty and that I have to pay €290 to change the screen and cover.
I asked them if they'd also fix the reboot problem and they confirmed that they would.
They sent me back the PC with a new screen but, oh surprise, the reboot problem hadn't been fixed.
I contacted them a 2nd time and they asked me to resend my PC, which I did.
They send me my PC again, saying they've done nothing, and of course the problem persists.
I contacted them a 3rd time, telling them that if they couldn't fix my PC, they could either do a standard exchange or a refund (as the PC was still under warranty).
They told me that the exchange could only be made if there were 2 returns with a change of parts. I don't mind, but when I send them my PC they do nothing to repair it.
I really get the impression that they're waiting for me to give up or for the end of the warranty period to come around (this month).
I'm trying again to return it for repair.
Stay tuned....
PS: when you buy on the internet, you have far fewer after-sales problems when you buy on AMAZON.
