The Left-Handed Keyboard incorporates a number pad on the left side of the keyboard. This allows the left hand to take control of the numeric input and better focus the activity. However, this keyboard is not just for left-handed users, but also for anyone who wants to better balance work tasks between the two hands (typing, shortcuts and numeric input).
Comfortable in everyday use
When using a traditional keyboard, the number pad is on the right side of the keyboard and the mouse is even further away on the right side. In this position, the right hand is under greater strain (strain on the hand and forearm muscles), both for numerical input and for using the mouse, which is out of line with the shoulder. In addition, the presence of the numeric keypad on the right means that the movements between the mouse and the keyboard are lengthened.
The keyboard with the numeric keypad on the left decentralises and shares the workload between the two hands and removes the strain and stress on one hand in particular, often the right hand. It makes the movements more even and balanced between the two hands, as well as better fluidity of movement and productivity. With the placement of the number pad on the left, back and forth movements become shorter, both hands are equally used minimising any strain on the right hand and right forearm to prevent and relieve Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD).
